  2. We loved staying at the Gulf Shores Campground, Gulf Shores Al. We went there for a few days and stayed over a week. We picked up fresh off the boat seafood and cooked it at our campsite-fantastic!! Restrooms and showers were super clean.

  3. A great little getaway is at Frank Jackson State Park in Opp, AL in southern Alabama. We camped there for a family reunion in October, and they have a scarecrow walk that is really cool. The lake view is fantastic, the facilities are excellent, bathhouse is clean and the people super friendly. The weekend before there was dulcimer festival someone told us.
