Wine Ridge RV Resort is a great place to stay with wonderful amenities! They have a restaurant on sight, beautiful swimming pools, laundry and very nice individual bath/shower facilities. $28. With full hookups and no discounts. www.wineridgervresort.com Phone: 775-751-7805 Near Las Vegas and Death Valley National Park
KOA of Ely, Hwy. 50/93 towards Great Basin National. A nice KOA with very nice people working there. 1-800-562-6671 and website koaofely.com $33.29 full hookups, cable, wifi.
Great Basin Natuional Park, Baker, Nevada is one of the loneliest national parks but I really liked this park. The campgrounds do not have any hookups only a campfire grill and table, vault toilets. Hiking trails. A beautiful stream ran noisily at the back edge of our campsite and beautiful bristle cone pine tree cones were so unusual. Mt. Wheeler is 13,063 ft and had snow on it in May when we were there. They have astronomy programs in the evening if weather permits. Lehman Caves have tours, well worth experiencing.
